A Moderate-Complexity Case Review is designed for patients who have already completed recent testing with other doctors or functional medicine practitioners and would like Dr. Hagmeyer to provide a second opinion or incorporate that information into a more comprehensive review of their case.
During this appointment, Dr. Hagmeyer will review your health history, current symptoms, and the factors that may be contributing to your health concerns. He will also review one previous laboratory or functional medicine test completed through another healthcare provider’s office.
All outside testing submitted for review must be current and completed within the last three months so that the results accurately reflect your present health status.
If you are submitting bloodwork for Dr. Hagmeyer to review, please make sure the testing includes all of the laboratory markers included in Dr. Hagmeyer’s New Patient Bloodwork Evaluation. This helps ensure that he has the information needed to evaluate your case thoroughly and avoids important gaps in the laboratory data.
If your bloodwork is incomplete or does not include the required markers, additional testing may be necessary before Dr. Hagmeyer can complete his review.
If you have more than one outside test that you would like Dr. Hagmeyer to review or provide a second opinion, a High-Complexity Case Review may be more appropriate.

Assessment of Your Current Health Patterns
Dr. Hagmeyer will evaluate your symptoms, health history, and available clinical information to identify patterns that may be contributing to your current concerns.
Review of One Previous Test
This level of case review includes a detailed review of one recent laboratory or functional medicine test completed through another healthcare provider’s office. Dr. Hagmeyer will explain the most relevant findings and how they may relate to your symptoms and broader health picture.
Review of Any Testing Recommended by Dr. Hagmeyer
If additional testing was recommended during your 15- or 30-minute Discovery Call and those results are available, Dr. Hagmeyer will walk you through the findings and explain their clinical relevance.
Discussion of Recommended Next Steps
You will receive an overview of the recommended direction for your case, including the structure, expected duration, and cost of your initial treatment plan.
The Moderate-Complexity Case Review provides a more comprehensive evaluation for patients whose health concerns involve multiple symptoms, interconnected systems, or more complex clinical patterns. This level of review allows Dr. Hagmeyer to take a broader look at your health history, current concerns, and one recent laboratory or functional medicine test from a previous healthcare provider to better understand how the different pieces of your case may fit together.
Rather than focusing on an isolated symptom or laboratory value, the goal is to identify important patterns and relationships that may be contributing to your ongoing health concerns and provide a clearer direction for the next steps in your care.
Do you have recent testing from another provider that you would like Dr. Hagmeyer to review?
If your testing was completed within the last three months, Dr. Hagmeyer may be able to use those results and may not need to repeat the same testing.
Dr. Hagmeyer will review one previous test from another provider, provided it is current and was completed within the last three months.
Testing that is more than three months old may still provide useful historical information, but Dr. Hagmeyer does not use older results as the basis for current treatment recommendations, since laboratory values and health patterns can change over time.
The way Dr. Hagmeyer works with patients is very different from the conventional medical model you may be accustomed to.
Our office focuses on a holistic, Functional Medicine approach that looks beyond symptoms alone and considers how multiple systems in the body may be contributing to your health concerns.
Dr. Hagmeyer does not prescribe medications, and he does not replace your Primary Care Physician or other medical specialists.
Instead, his role is to take a closer look at the bigger picture. This includes a thorough review of your health history, symptoms, previous testing, current medications and supplements, lifestyle, nutrition, and the results of appropriate laboratory testing.
